Becky D. Haly, L.Ac., M.S.
Becky was raised in a family that practiced traditional Chinese medicine for generations. After relocating to California, she received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Chemistry from San Diego State University. She later obtained a Masters Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego. These Eastern family roots and Western education have given Becky the intuition, passion, and experience to offer natural and modern healing methods using a good East-West balance of medical techniques.
Becky's professional background includes working at pharmaceutical companies Baxter Diagnostics, Isis Pharmaceuticals, and Cytel. She co-authored several articles for scientific journals relating to her research in genetics and bio-medical chemistry. She also provided volunteer acupuncture services to homeless and disabled teenagers, and to rehabilitate injuries for athletes through a UCSD sports medicine program.
Becky is a California Board Certified Licensed Acupuncturist, and she has a National Certification from the Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She specializes in providing acupuncture, herbal treatments, and lifestyle and nutritional counseling on a personal basis to promote a holistic approach towards a healthy mind, body, and spirit.
